AOL users sometimes have problems downloading graphics. The graphics get changed
to another format (.art) and because of that they can't be viewed in other browsers.

If you are trying to save a graphic from your Web Browser and your WWW preferences are
set for 'Compressed Graphics', the file you want will be saved in the .ART format,
instead of as .GIF.  (All of the graphics on my site are in .GIF format.) If you try
to open the file in another program, that program will not recognize the file as a
valid format. The best way to take care of this situation is to follow these simple
instructions:

1. Go to the 'AOL Sign On Screen' and click 'members' from the 'AOL Menu Bar'.

2. Select 'Preferences'.

3. Click 'WWW'.

4. Choose the 'Web Graphics tab'.

5. Uncheck the box for 'Use Compressed Graphics'.

You should also look around and find the setting that says 'Temporary Internet files' and then delete of your temporary

Internet files. Doing so will clear your web cache so you will notice the difference in the pages you visit on a regular basis.

(Don't forget to press the 'reload' button too.)
